Arabic Studies	Seventh Grade	Age group: 11-12
Main Focus:  To build upon previous knowledge. Learning Abilities: Near adult-like cognizance in some students. Formats to Avoid: Do not structure the class into a lecture format with a lot of note-taking or pencil work. Do not make memorization of words the main focus of the instruction. Preferred Format: Writing and translation assignments can be introduced with greater frequency. Arabic Knowledge Requirements

1. Information taught in the textbook will be the requirement of this grade.  More emphasis will be on utilizing the Qur'anic text for reading and grammar comprehension.

2.   The future tense of verbs must have been mastered by this grade level. 

3.  Introduce ten new verbs and twenty new nouns drawn from Qur'an and ahadith.

4.  Qur'anic fluency for the student who has followed this syllabus should be 50%+.

5.  Introduce students in the use of the Hans/Wehr Arabic English dictionary.
