Main Focus: To begin working with perhaps the best formalized Arabic language program currently available in English. Learning Abilities: Advanced in most students. Formats to Avoid: Do not structure the class into a lecture format with a lot of note-taking or pencil work. Do not make memorization of words the main focus of the instruction. Preferred Format: Oral drills coupled with practice exercises are a must. Grammar can be practiced in complex dialogues. |

1. Information taught in the textbook will be the requirement of this grade.
2. Students will choose twenty new verbs or nouns from the Qur'an or ahadith that they do not know and master them to the satisfaction of the teacher.
3. Essay writing, in Arabic, will be a commonly assigned method of homework.
4. Near fluency in Arabic is near to completion. Students will be introduced to more mundane Arabic grammar and vocabulary through Arabic language newspapers, magazines, etc...
