Main
Focus: To give a well-rounded view of Islam. Learning
Abilities: Varies greatly among students. Generally they are bright and inquisitive.
Rational answers begin to become important in this age group. Formats
to Avoid: Do not patronize the students or make them feel like little
children. They must begin to be engaged on an intellectual level (not to
intellectual, though). Preferred
Format: This grade has a completed textbook containing all of the
appropriate knowledge which she be taught at this
level. Therefore, the list of what needs to be taught will be brief. The
teacher will guide the students through the reading, one lesson per day, and
then assign the homework exercises at the end of each lesson. Note: From this grade
onwards, boys and girls Nasheed classes should be separate.

1. The entire
flow of the life of the Prophet Muhammad as contained in the textbook. Consult
the book.
Sahaba
1. The following
Sahaba are presented in detail and highlighted in the textbook.
'Ali ibn Abi Talib, Uthman ibn Affan, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Abu Bakr as Sadeeq, Asma bint Abi Bakr, Bilal ibn Rabah, Abu Hurairah, Ayeshah, Fatimah bint Muhammad and 'Umar ibn al Khattab.
History
1. The primary
textbook for this grade contains all the necessary material for the history of
the following Prophets and other people. The specific historical figures that
are covered within this textbook are as follows:
A. Prophets: Adam, Nuh, Hud, Ibrahim, Ya'qub, Yusuf, Musa, Dawud, Suleiman, Zakariyya, Yahya, 'Esa, Muhammad.
B. The Hadith story about the three men who were locked in a cave by a boulder and prayed, in the name of some good deed, to be freed. (From: Riyadh us Saliheen)
Misc.
1. Students
should be able to write a coherent essay explaining the teachings of Islam in
such a way that any non-Muslim could understand it and any Muslim could be
satisfied with the accuracy of content.
